You don’t train like a man because not many other girls do. Right? Well here’s a news flash: Your muscles don’t know you are a woman! Simple. For all the grunting, shouting, crotch scratching and flexing – men and women are more similar than you think.

Yes, women are smaller, have different hormones, and aren’t as strong – this is all true. But hey – muscle is muscle and squats are squats no matter how much facial hair you have! If it can work to build lean and strong bodies for men, it can work for women. All the idiotic telemarketing fitness machines in the world CANNOT compete with good old fashioned weight training for massive and real body transformation.

This just won't cut it
Through weight training, we increase not only our strength, but our lean muscle mass. As a result of increased lean muscle mass, our metabolisms crank up. Further, our fat levels drop due to both the increased metabolism and to the hard work we are putting in. Studies show that if we increase our lean muscle mass by 1.4 kg, we also increase our resting metabolic rate by 7% and in turn our daily calorie requirement by 15%! As you can see, increasing the amount of muscle on our frames will not only tighten up our bodies and ratchet up our metabolisms but will increase the amount we need to eat daily.
Weight training works for women… if you want to lose weight, burn fat, get tight and toned, help your bones, feel strong, beat menopause and eat more without putting on fat – get training!!
Now, the big question – why if weight training is so good for women aren’t more women doing it?
In The Girlfriend Workout, we discuss at length why weight training works for women and explain in simple terms why weight training is not only the best and fastest way of building a beautiful body, but it is also a lot of fun. Of course, we will show you just how to do it along the way.
